Authorize GitHub Access

GitHub will ask for confirmation. Review the requested permissions and click "Authorize". Rkito needs to read:

  • Organization members and their roles
  • Organization metadata
3

Organization Created & Members Synced

Once authorized, Rkito will:

  • Create your organization in Rkito
  • Sync all GitHub org members
  • Assign Rkito roles based on GitHub roles (exact mapping below)
  • Send you to the dashboard

Frequently Asked Questions

What permissions does Rkito request?

Rkito reads org membership and roles to sync them automatically. We don't write to your GitHub organization. You can review all permissions during installation.

Can I uninstall the app?

Yes. You can uninstall the Rkito GitHub App anytime from your GitHub organization settings. However, member syncing will stop, and new team members won't be automatically assigned.

What if my team has already signed up individually?

When you install the app, Rkito matches GitHub identities with existing Rkito users by email. Members will be added to your organization automatically.

Do we have to use Rkito for the whole org?

No. Only team members who log in to Rkito will be set up. The app doesn't force participation—it enables it for those who want it.

How are roles managed after installation?

Rkito syncs roles on each login. If someone's GitHub role changes, their Rkito roles update automatically on next login. Org admins can also manually adjust roles in Rkito.
